Some things to consider when making your portable sink purchase:
OUR CABINET
We use a STRUCTURED, ANODIZED ALUMINUM FRAMING SYSTEM. The German engineered design of our framing system creates a frame that is lightweight, yet extremely strong and rust resistant. Because aluminum angle iron does not have this strength and is not anodized, it is prone to structural failure and to rusting. Once the framing system weakens and begins to sway or buckle, you will find that the entire plumbing system of your sink begins to fail and fall apart. The cost for structured aluminum framing components is very high, but our standards will not allow us to sell a product we believe to be substandard.
The side panels of our cabinet slide into the framing system, they are not screwed onto a frame. All sections are then sealed with gaskets to prevent movement of the ABS plastic in the framing system. This not only helps with keeping the unit sturdy, but also keeps the plastic from rattling and creates a waterproof seal in each section. Our cabinets also have two doors contained within a full length sliding system. We do not ask our customers to “pop out” the front panel in order to change water tanks or turn system on. If done on a consistent basis, this will cause the panel to warp and eventually, fall out.
We are the only sink manufacturer to use four (4) non-marking, dual locking, rubber wheels. This allows you to lock the unit in place and also allows the wheel themselves to be locked so the do not swing out from under the cabinet and become a tripping hazard.
The walls, counter and floor of our cabinets is made with black, ABS plastic or white HDPE plastic, both FDA approved for food service applications. We do not use wood and Formica as it is prone to chipping. Once the Formica has chipped off, the underlying wood or pressed board can be contaminated. ABS and HDPE is virtually impossible to break and should it ever chip, the exposed part would also be ABS or HDPE. There is never a chance of contamination.
OUR COMPONENTS
We construct our sinks using only the highest quality components. Our sink faucets are not plastic; they are chrome plated steel, Moen faucets or chrome plated brass touch free faucets. WE ARE THE ONLY PORTABLE SINK MANUFACTURER OFFERING A TOUCH FREE UNIT AS A STANDARD, STOCK SINK! We use Moen products for our hand wash sinks as well. Our triple basin sinks are manufactured in the USA and we include the manufacturers recommended sink framing system. This is an extra cost for us, but it allows the sinks to be set properly and helps to resist leaking. You will find that most of our competitors do not take this extra step and merely glue the sink basin onto the counter top.
Hand wash sinks are manufactured using touch free faucets and soap dispensers or single lever handle, goose neck faucets. Again, this is an additional charge with other sink manufacturers. Because this option is a requirement by some health departments in the USA, we these faucets exclusively on the hand wash sinks so that all of our customers can be assured they are in compliance.
We use only adjustable temperature hot water heaters. This is not an optional feature that will carry additional costs. Some health departments do not allow instantaneous hot water heaters in portable sinks as they do not provide consistent water temperatures. Be assured that your hot water heater can be set for temperature range of 110-170 F degrees. Our hot water heater is mounted into the cabinet using steel bracing. A loose fitted hot water heater can damage the entire interior of a portable sink. Our customers do not need to worry about “re-plumbing” the sink every time they transport it!
Our electrical outlet is a fully enclosed, GFCI outlet. This would be the same as an outlet used in outdoor applications that resist water getting into the electrical box. The outlet also contains a toggle switch on the outside of the box to allow the user to shut off the electricity without touching either of the plugs. Because there is always a chance that water could possibly leak within the unit (a hose slipped or connection loosened), we take these extra steps for the safety of our customers.
Our water pump is a factory corded, ShurFlo Self Priming Pump. ShurFlo products are all UL certified and we feel the extra cost to purchase the corded pump is a comfort to our customers. Though we are capable of adding a power cord to a less costly pump, the pump would not be UL certified as an entirety.
WE TEST ALL OF OUR SINKS! Every sink is fully tested before we ship to a customer by running the sink, with water, as the end user will do. We can be sure that when the sink leaves our facility, it is in fully operational condition. Though we cannot guarantee that a component (such as pump or hot water heater) may fail, we offer a full one (1) year warranty on our units. If a failure takes place, our customers receive an immediate replacement.
